We know that individuals, small groups and churches across Cheltenham are already actively praying for the areas of the town where they live or are located. Yet we have a vision to see these united, bringing Christians from different traditions and backgrounds together - united in prayer.
We hope that by bringing churches together over a short period, and providing a tool that helps people see how and where others are praying for the town, it will be encouraging and inspire greater prayer for Cheltenham.
To that end, we’re facilitating the church to prayer-walk the whole of the town this May and June, and would love you to be involved.
We're hosting the prayer walk app that allows individuals to commit to, and then record that they have, prayer-walked a street (or more). There is also some material (from the 24-7 Prayer team) that can help you if you haven’t walked and prayed for a street before - but if this something you already do - then continue in your own way.
Our aim is to promote unity in the body of Christ, as we join together to be part of something bigger, praying that we see God's kingdom come in Cheltenham, and His will be done here, as it is in heaven.
Please do register on the app - it’s free - and, once it opens on 9th May, join with other across the town praying that God’s kingdom will come in Cheltenham as it is in heaven.
We've published a few 'FAQs' to help you plan your prayer walking.
